per season, a holiday concert (generally in early December), a spring
concert (generally in March) and a third concert (generally
at the beginning of June). Please visit our Home

Membership in the Chorale is open to all who
meet the audition requirements. Membership in the Chorale carries
with it certain responsibilities. All members pay annual dues of $100
payable on or before Oct. 1. There is financial assistance available. No
one will be denied membership if payment of dues is a hardship. All
members are expected to assist with fundraising, ticket sales, advertising,
publicity, etc. Attendance requirements are enforced.
An annual music fee, determined by the Board of Governors,
will be assessed each member to cover the cost of purchased and rental

Chorale members will be required to purchase their music. There is financial assistance available for music purchase as
well.

Rehearsals & Audition Information
The Shrewsbury Chorale welcomes adult singers to audition for
membership. The Shrewsbury Chorale performs music in various styles
and periods from classical to modern. There are openings
available in all voice parts.
Our
next Open Rehearsals will be held Tuesdays
Sept 14 & 21 2010 at 7:45pm at the Unitarian
Universalist Congregation of Monmouth County, 1475
West Front Street, Lincroft. Auditions will be scheduled throughout
the season, September through June, on Tuesdays at 7:30, or at the convenience
of the conductor.
To audition, singers should have choral experience, sight-reading
skills, and be able to attend Tuesday evening rehearsals. Acceptance
depends on meeting audition requirements and on the available openings in
each voice section, as dictated by the need to achieve balance between sections. The
audition will be comprised of short exercises to access vocal
quality, range and sight-reading ability. A prepared piece is
acceptable but not required.
For more information or to arrange an audition please contact Diane Serine or 732-513-8413.
